Premium Allocations
Pupil Premium
Each year the school receives an amount of money called the Pupil Premium Grant (PPG). This grant provides additional funds to school for each child who is currently, or has been at any time in the last 6 years, entitled to Free School Meals (FSM). In addition, funding is also given for those with parents in the Armed Forces, children in the care of the Local Authority or been adopted after being in care. Whilst our main aim is to raise academic attainment, we also aim to ensure that children have a wide range of opportunities and experiences to develop confidence, self-esteem and have high aspirations.
Sports Premium
The Government is providing funding of £150 million per annum for substantial primary school sport funding. This funding is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport, and will see money going directly to primary school headteachers to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children.
The sport funding can only be spent on sport and PE provision in schools.
The grant has vastly enhanced the quantity and quality of PE provision in school. Throughout the last few years children have experienced a wider range of new sports including golf and judo, the school has taken part in an increased number of intra school and inter school activities, staff training has increased and more resources were purchased.

Inclusion Strategy
Inclusion is at the heart of educational excellence. We aim to create the conditions in which every child can access an ambitious education, participate fully in school life and achieve positive outcomes. We do this by strengthening a high-quality inclusive universal offer, identifying and responding to need early, removing barriers to learning and participation, and providing the right support at the right time.
Our approach is underpinned by the DfE Principles of Inclusion and the Trust Inclusion Strategy. It recognises that effective inclusion starts with high-quality teaching and strong inclusive practice in every school, complemented by targeted and specialist expertise where needed.
